( 2 ）薄片電極
薄片正極比普通的鑄造板柵或拉網(wǎng)板柵的正極有更均勻的放電性能．通過這種電極表面的充／放電電流是均勻的，另外腐蝕速率也降低了。因?yàn)榘鍠庞袠O高的表面積，因此比普通板柵有低得多的腐蝕電流密度（A/cm2 ）。
這類電極是由美國Wirtz 公司開發(fā)的conroll 極板，板柵厚度＜1 mm , 質(zhì)盤很輕。這種材料在美國EastPenn 公司承擔(dān)的先進(jìn)鉛酸蓄電池聯(lián)合會(huì)( ALABC ）項(xiàng)目中應(yīng)用。
( 3 ）箔式卷狀電極
真正薄如紙的電極由美國Bolder 公司開發(fā)，稱為“TMF ”技術(shù)( t hin metal film ）箔式電極，具有極高比功率與優(yōu)異的可充性。這種電極的板柵僅為0 .05 -0.08mm ，與活性物質(zhì)層的厚度相近，卷成電極。電池正極在一端，負(fù)極在另一端，和堿錳電池類似。高倍率放電性能優(yōu)異，已用于電動(dòng)工具、汽車起動(dòng)、混合動(dòng)力等領(lǐng)域。
( 4 ）螺旋卷狀電極
